The Asian Web3 Alliance Japan is committed to supporting web3 education and the use of stablecoins to revolutionize Asia’s technological landscape.
The Japan-Asia Web3 Alliance (AWAJ) has announced a bold move to integrate more than 5,000 web3 companies around the world into the fast-growing web3 ecosystem in Japan and Asia.
The initiative, which was unveiled on December 14 during AWAJ’s first press conference, marks an important step forward in promoting international cooperation and technological advancement in the web3 space.
Key Focus Areas
AWAJ is a pioneer association in Japan that was founded with the vision of bridging the gap between the web3 community in Japan, Asia, and globally. The formation and initiative of the alliance is a strategic initiative to capitalize on the growing interest in blockchain and decentralized technologies in the region.
Its 2024 strategy focuses on three key areas:
Stablecoin Subcommittee Formed: Under the supervision of stablecoin experts, this subcommittee aims to promote the use of stablecoins in Japan and Asia, potentially transforming cross-border transactions and financial transactions.
Global Expansion: Targeting more than 5,000 web3 companies and startups from 48 countries, AWAJ aims to create a vast network for collaboration and knowledge sharing, thereby fostering business growth and innovation in the region.
Student Exchange Program: AWAJ plans to promote career building in web3 by partnering with 48 universities with a focus on IT and blockchain education through student exchange programs in various prefectures in Japan. The student exchange program is a >

AWAJ’s hierarchical structure consists of 56 members and 16 sub-committees, of which international members hold 70% of the shares, ensuring diversity and a global perspective.
Board members and advisors such as Hinza Asif (President of AWAJ), Taketo Nakanishi and Yuma Tanimoto (co-founders of CROSSTECH), and Leo Mizuhara (Hashnote) bring a wealth of experience from all areas of the web3 industry.
