SBF praised Trump for pardoning the former president of Honduras and publicly sought his own pardon.
Odaily News Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) praised Trump on social media on Tuesday for his decision to pardon former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, stating that “few people are more deserving of freedom than he is.” Hernández was previously sentenced to 45 years in prison for drug-related offenses. SBF himself is serving a 25-year sentence for fraud and conspiracy, having misappropriated billions of dollars in customer funds, and hopes to receive a pardon from Trump. However, analysts point out that SBF's chances of being pardoned are very low, as he donated $5.2 million to Biden's campaign team in 2020. SBF's appeal is still under review in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, with a decision expected next year. (The Block)
