🚨 Breaking: US-Iran talks see key progress
According to Financial Times and multiple sources, Pakistan is positioning itself as the "chief mediator" between the US and Iran:
• 🇵🇰 Leveraging connections with Iran and "friendly relations" with President Trump, Army Chief of Staff Munir has spoken with Trump
• 🏛️ Proposing Islamabad as the location for US-Iran senior officials talks this week
• 🤝 Prime Minister Sharif simultaneously communicating with Iranian President Pezeshkian, timing coinciding with Trump's post on a potential peace agreement
Meanwhile, Turkey is also actively mediating, holding talks with Iranian officials and Trump envoy Wittcoff, attempting to secure a "brief ceasefire" to open diplomatic space
🔗 Foreign ministers of three countries (Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan) have recently been conveying messages between the US and Iran, with mediation "ongoing and making progress"
