I was suddenly relieved by this passage:

Why does your money decrease day by day and you're anxious out of your mind? Yet your life decreases day by day and you don't care at all.

Because you've been poor before, but you've never died. You only care about how much money you have left, but you don't care about how many years you have left. You're always anxious about which path to choose, but actually every path is wrong, because all roads lead to the grave. Palms and backs of hands are both the same, left and right, front and back are all death. When the mortality rate is 100%, what's there to be anxious about?

When you can't figure something out, just let it be for now, because after a while you'll have even more things you can't figure out. If you feel tired, take a rest. Don't always think about suffering through. All the hardship ahead belongs to you—no one's competing with you for it. Life is like choosing a seat on the Titanic. Don't be anxious about this or that. Remember: the boat has already hit the iceberg, and when the boat reaches the bridge, it will naturally sink.
