From a Macro Perspective: Cryptocurrency is About to Explode!
Let's review history first:
In the 2000s, the Commodity Futures Modernization Act (CFMA) opened the floodgates, and the derivatives market skyrocketed from $1 quadrillion to over $6 quadrillion in just a few years, with the financial printing machine running at full capacity.
It spawned an entire industry, but at the same time brought about the 2008 financial crisis.
Fast forward to now.
The SEC and CFTC jointly issued guidance a few days ago, formally classifying most crypto assets as "digital commodities" rather than securities! (The 68-page joint clarification on March 17 directly listed 16 major coins including BTC, ETH, SOL, SHIB, XRP, and DOGE—regulation is finally compliant)
This is equivalent to paving a superhighway for the Crypto track, with the capital influx that follows measured in hundreds of trillions of dollars and beyond.
If the CLARITY Act can truly replicate the buff that CFMA gave to derivatives back then, crypto commodities could surge from the current ~$2.5 trillion to $15 trillion.
