To determine a person's cognitive level is essentially to judge the complexity of their thinking model——

A beginner-level person uses point-based thinking, pursuing a unique answer and absolute truth. Everything is black and white, and they only want to discuss an isolated cause-and-effect relationship with you.

A mid-level person uses linear thinking, no longer fixated on absolutized conclusions, can understand simple causal chains and key variables, and is willing to listen to some different opinions.

A high-level person uses network-based thinking and can see the universal connections and dynamic balance between all things;

They embrace uncertainty and respect complexity. When discussing, they won't argue right or wrong with you, only help you build frameworks and analyze pros and cons. They consider exploration of various possibilities and definition of various conditions, ensuring you see the bigger picture while returning decision-making power to you.

Seek out more such people — this in itself is a form of extremely high wisdom.
