PEAQ's data verification mechanism adopts a multi-layered approach to ensure the authenticity and reliability of data in the Decentralization Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN), with rigorous and practical design.
The first layer of verification focuses on the source of the machine, and the data directly from the device will be verified through the functions outlined in the upcoming SDK or documentation. This layer has the highest level of data trust because it has a direct source and secure transmission method. The system will perform device detection and use the Private Key to sign the data, ensuring the authenticity of the data before it is transmitted to the network. Integration software solutions like Home Assistance will also assist in this process to maintain the highest level of security and integrity.
The second layer of validation is pattern matching validation, which targets data that does not come directly from the device but is related to an existing device on the network. By comparing the data patterns of registered devices on the network to judge the trustworthiness, although its trust is slightly lower than the first-layer verification data, it also provides an effective verification means for data from more sources in the network, which is helpful to improve the entire data verification system.
The third level of verification relies on Oracle Machine to confirm the legitimacy of the data source when the data source is not secure or indirect, thereby increasing the level of verification. Although there may still be potential vulnerabilities in this layer of data, it overall provides corresponding verification mechanisms for data in different situations in the PEAQ network, ensuring the effectiveness and credibility of the data in various application scenarios.
