Cronos zkEVM officially launches its mainnet and connects with the Ethereum ecosystem

The official launch of Cronos zkEVM on the mainnet marks the creation of the first third-party ZK layer-2 chain outside the ZKsync Era. This development is made possible through the collaboration between Cronos Labs and technical teams from Matter Labs, Crypto.com, VVS Finance, Fulcrum Finance, Veno Finance, and over 20 other partners.

Cronos zkEVM, a Layer-2 blockchain based on Ethereum and utilizing ZKsync technology, has transitioned from testnet to mainnet. The testnet, launched in December 2023, has processed millions of transactions and involved over three million different addresses.
