The Nevada court extended restrictions on the Kalshi platform, banning it from operating in the state. The company is prohibited from offering contracts on the outcomes of various events, including sports, politics, and entertainment. The decision was made by Judge Jason Woodbury in Carson City, supporting the position of the Gaming Control Board. The agency considers such products a form of illegal betting. The temporary measures introduced on March 20 will be in effect at least until April 17. During this time, the court will determine whether to impose long-term restrictions. Until the case is resolved, Kalshi will not be able to provide its services in the state without obtaining the appropriate license.

Meanwhile, company representatives insist that its activities fall within the financial sector. They involve derivative instruments regulated at the federal level by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Platform representatives emphasize that users are not placing bets in the traditional sense but are trading contracts based on the likelihood of events.#GateSquareAprilPostingChallenge
