The Cambodian government reports that since June 2025, it has deported over 30,000 suspected foreign scammers and shut down 200 illegal operations. International observers note that these repressive measures are in line with recent sanctions by the United Kingdom against major scam complexes operating in Southeast Asia. "This law is strict to serve the interests of the Cambodian nation and people," said Minister of Justice Kout Rith during parliamentary hearings. Currently, authorities are focused on fully closing all identified scam centers by the end of the month to restore the country's international reputation.#GateSquareAprilPostingChallenge
