The reason for not allowing the price to increase is intentional, because Pi's goal is to develop a practical ecosystem. If the price rises to $5-10 now, over 90% of our Pi community, which mainly consists of ordinary people with limited resources, would sell off to cash out, ruining the early-stage efforts of the project. Therefore, the price cannot go up.
