Total investment exceeds 11 billion yuan, with 30 Changping projects included in the city's major project plan.

The recently released “Notice on Printing and Distributing the 2026 Major Project Plan for Dongguan City” shows that Changping has successfully included 30 projects into the city’s major project “big picture,” including 24 major construction projects and 6 major preparatory projects. These projects cover key areas such as industrial upgrading, people’s livelihood security, and infrastructure, with a total investment of over 11 billion yuan, providing solid support for accelerating the development of a stronger, more beautiful urban-rural area, and better people’s livelihood in modern Xinchangping.

Major projects are the “ballast stone” of economic development and the “powerful engine” for enhancing the city’s capacity. Among the 30 selected projects, 22 are industrial engineering projects, accounting for over 70%, covering high-end equipment manufacturing, next-generation electronic information, new energy storage, food manufacturing, trendy toys, and other key industrial chains, closely aligned with Changping’s industrial upgrade direction. Notably, a batch of high-quality projects such as the expansion project of Dongguan Jingyuan Wool Textile Co., Ltd., the Chengxing high-precision large-size component project, the Jimei intelligent automotive parts production and sales project, and the Dongguan Tonghong Industrial metal intelligent manufacturing factory R&D and sales base construction project are scheduled to start production in 2026. These will further enrich Changping’s industrial landscape, strengthen key industrial chains, and cultivate new economic growth points.

It is worth mentioning that among the 22 industrial engineering projects, five are planned new projects, including the Qiaofeng intelligent production base project, the Hanchuan South China intelligent manufacturing headquarters project, the Nanshan plastic products project, the Changping electronic components production project, and the Donghe New Energy Storage Technology project, all of which are high-quality expansion and upgrade projects.

Currently, the Changping electronic components project and Donghe New Energy Storage Technology project have completed approval procedures by the end of 2025, and the Hanchuan South China intelligent manufacturing headquarters project started construction in January 2026.

In addition, four infrastructure projects, including the first phase expansion of the Zhutou Mountain pumping station in Changping, Qiaozhi Road upgrade and renovation, Cuizhu Road construction, and Yuanlang Road construction, as well as four livelihood projects such as the Changping Mu Lian Urban Village renovation project (southern plot), Changping Mu Lian Urban Village renovation project (northern plot), Guangdong South China Grain Trading Center Co., Ltd. Changping Grain Depot Phase III project, and Dongguan Changping Jiujiang Water Supply Housing Construction Project, are being vigorously promoted. The implementation of these projects will further improve urban and rural road networks, enhance flood control and drainage capacity, expand affordable housing supply, and ensure that the benefits of high-quality development reach more people fairly.

Next, Changping will continue to focus on building “Eastern Comprehensive Hub, Advanced Manufacturing Strong Town, Vibrant Ecological New City,” adhere to the core of real economy and manufacturing, continuously improve the project “attracting—landing—construction—commissioning” closed-loop work chain, focus on precise investment promotion in key industrial chains, strengthen the guarantee of land, funds, talent, and other factors, and fully promote the quality and efficiency of major project construction. Deep integration of project construction with industrial upgrading, urban renewal, and livelihood improvement will help accumulate more advantages and momentum for building a stronger, more beautiful urban-rural area, and a better people’s livelihood in modern Xinchangping.
