State Council Information Office: Public service resources in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei will be jointly built and shared

At today’s press conference held by the State Council Information Office, a relevant official from the National Development and Reform Commission introduced that the recently announced “Modern Capital Urban Circle Spatial Coordination Plan (2023–2035)” clarifies the key tasks for further deepening collaboration in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Vice Chairman Wang Changlin of the National Development and Reform Commission stated that Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei should treat inter-provincial neighboring areas as “breakthrough points,” fully leveraging the demonstration roles of Beijing’s Tongzhou District, the northern three counties of Langfang City in Hebei, and the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone to achieve integrated high-quality development. They should establish an “innovation and industry collaboration line,” promote deep integration of innovation chains and industrial chains, develop new productive forces suited to local conditions, and build an advanced manufacturing cluster in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. Additionally, efforts should be made to expand the “coverage” of collaborative development, strengthen the integrated protection and systematic management of mountains, waters, forests, fields, lakes, grasslands, sand, and deserts, collaboratively construct a resilient spatial pattern, and promote the co-construction and sharing of public service resources such as education, healthcare, elderly care, and childcare.
