Beijing, February 24 (Reporter Wang Guan) Data from the State Taxation Administration released on February 24 show that during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, the average daily sales revenue in consumer-related industries nationwide increased by 13.7% compared to the previous year’s Spring Festival holiday. The consumer market has shown many highlights, with clear features of intelligent and green consumer goods. There is strong demand for tourism, sightseeing, and cultural consumption. The ice and snow economy has driven rapid growth in tourism services in related provinces. Food and beverage consumption has warmed up, and retail sales of goods have maintained growth.
During the Spring Festival holiday, driven by policies such as trade-in programs, consumers’ enthusiasm for “renewal” was effectively stimulated, with a growing preference for high-quality, high-tech intelligent products, including robotic vacuum cleaners and screen projection TVs, with sales revenue of household appliances increasing by 19% year-on-year.
The extended Spring Festival holiday has promoted the release of residents’ tourism consumption demand, with tourism-related service sales revenue increasing by 39.6% year-on-year.
