During the Spring Festival, the Changchun Development and Reform Commission closely monitored the city’s commodity prices. Monitoring personnel visited supermarkets and farmers’ markets in groups. From inspections, supply of various goods was sufficient during the holiday, and prices of key livelihood commodities remained stable or decreased.
Compared to February 14, February 24, this week our city’s grain and oil prices remained stable, egg, carp, and fruit prices increased, pork prices decreased, and prices of other auxiliary foods remained stable.
Grain and oil prices are stable. The average price of rice (per 500 grams) is 2.80 yuan, flour is 2.34 yuan, and bottled soybean oil (5L) is 64.00 yuan.
Egg prices slightly increased, pork prices decreased. Eggs are 4.18 yuan, up 1.46%; carp is 7.68 yuan, up 2.67%; pork is 9.96 yuan, down 1.97%. Prices of mutton, beef, and whole chickens remained unchanged.
Vegetable prices decreased on average. Of the 12 key monitored vegetables, 3 increased, 7 decreased, and 2 remained stable. The average price was 5.10 yuan, a decrease of 5.06%. The vegetables with the largest declines included eggplant (-17.74%), cucumber (-16.13%), chili peppers (-15.45%), and tomatoes (-11.18%).
Fruit prices increased. Apples rose 10.46%, bananas increased 15.91%, and pears decreased 1.32%.
