Wosh's nomination prompts a reevaluation of policy logic, and the Federal Reserve may shift towards a combination of "balance sheet reduction + interest rate cuts"

Mars Finance reports that during the Asian trading session, U.S. Treasury yields slightly declined across the board, driven by expectations related to Federal Reserve Chair nominee Kevin Woor. Deutsche Bank analyst Erik Liem noted in a report that Trump’s nomination of Kevin Woor has strengthened a market expectation that the Federal Reserve may not rely as heavily on balance sheet tools in the future as it has in the past. Meanwhile, the U.S. Treasury’s decision to keep auction sizes stable aligns with market expectations, although officials stated they are still assessing the possibility of increasing the issuance of bills, bonds, and floating-rate notes in the future.
