Rationally, viewing Gate's reserves as a panacea is not realistic, but it is a necessary baseline.
It is important to objectively recognize that reserve reports are not an all-encompassing guarantee of exchange security. They address the question of whether assets exist, not all operational risks. However, at this stage, they remain the minimum and most important safety bottom line.
Gate's reserve report at least informs users of three things: whether assets are sufficient, whether they are verifiable, and whether they are continuously updated. This continuity itself is more valuable than a one-time endorsement. The real danger is not slight fluctuations in reserve ratios, but complete non-disclosure and unverifiability.
For ordinary investors, rather than pursuing "absolute safety," it is better to choose platforms that are "transparent and auditable." In this regard, Gate's reserve mechanism provides a relatively clear and assessable reference framework. What endures through cycles is never emotion, but rules and self-discipline.
