Remember when Stanley Druckenmiller torched $3 billion chasing tech stocks at the peak of the 2000 dot-com mania? Guy's a legendary trader, right? Built his reputation on discipline and risk management.

Then the bubble hit. FOMO kicked in. He piled into names he knew were overcooked.

Afterward, someone asked what he learned from the disaster.

His answer? Brutal honesty: "I didn't learn anything. I already knew I wasn't supposed to do that."

That's the thing about markets. Knowing the rules doesn't mean you'll follow them when everyone else is getting rich. The hardest part isn't understanding risk—it's respecting it when the music's still playing.

Honestly, this is us... knowing what is right, but just can't control our hands.

To put it bluntly, everyone has to go crazy when it comes time to make money

To put it bluntly, it's just greed acting up—you know you shouldn't do it, but you still do it.

This is a classic example of the gap between knowing and doing... Even the smartest people can't escape FOMO.

To be honest, this sentence really hit home. Knowing the rules and actually following them are worlds apart. When FOMO kicks in, my brain just stops working.

I’ve been through it all. Knowing the rules and being able to stick to them are two different things. I was greedy too during the 2018 mining crash. Now when I see those projects promising sky-high APYs, their tactics are exactly the same as back then. When the music is playing, everyone wants to follow the crowd, but the moment it stops, that’s when the retail investors get slaughtered.

The data shows... wait a minute, this is exactly the current state of the crypto world. Miners are taking too much, and retail investors are FOMOing even more. Haven't even bought the bottom at historical lows, yet still thinking of following the trend? That being said, even if Druckenmiller's story is repeated 100 times per hour, the irrational mechanisms of human nature will eventually collapse.

To be honest, these words hit hard... You know it in theory, but when FOMO actually hits, you forget everything.
