Sei’s recent moves are definitely worth watching. The Staked SEI ETP launched by CoinShares is now available on IBKR—the world’s largest electronic broker, covering over 200 countries and processing 2.6 million trades daily.

What does this mean? Traditional investors can now allocate SEI directly through their familiar brokerage accounts, without the hassle of wallets and private keys. Once this compliant channel is established, both the user base and capital pool for the project could see a qualitative leap.

From a strategic perspective, what Sei is doing—packaging DeFi assets as traditional financial products and penetrating mainstream channels—is a pretty smart approach given the current market environment.

This is the right way; small retail investors no longer have to mess with private keys.

To be honest, this move is really ruthless. With traditional channels opened up, it's much easier for retail investors to get in. --- IBKR coming in with this scale, SEI is winning big time. --- Wait, is this actually compliant or just skirting the edges? We'll have to see how it's regulated going forward. --- Packaging coins as ETPs and then putting them into mainstream brokerages, that's a really clever move. --- But honestly, will it really attract that many traditional investors? They're still bearish right now. --- Opening up compliant channels is definitely a watershed moment; now institutions have no reason not to allocate.

Really? Now the big players in traditional finance can easily buy SEI too, the barrier to entry is super low. IBKR played this hand pretty aggressively, directly translating the "complexity" of crypto into a language Wall Street can understand. Wait, could it backfire and end up with retail investors getting rekt? A wave of institutions is coming, so how will small investors play then? Honestly, someone should have taken this compliance route a long time ago. SEI has finally found the right direction this time.

Alright then, this wave is indeed at a key surfing point. The liquidity in the traditional finance pool is just too deep. SEI is really trying to bottom fish directly through brokerage channels.

ngl the custody model here is the real wildcard tho... who's actually holding the keys behind that ETP wrapper? seen this play before with other assets and suddenly you're exposed to some sketchy counter-party risk nobody talks about until it's too late

Haha, traditional investors no longer have to be afraid of wallets. Now Sei has a real chance.
