Most people expect robots to roll out like smartphones did — premium first, locked ecosystems, top-tier polish, sky-high prices.
But patterns don't just repeat. They evolve.
The robotics space that wins? It won't look like the smartphone playbook at all.

Hmm... that's interesting, but I actually think robots will eventually follow the path of consumer electronics; it's just a matter of time. Or rather, they will split into two extremes: high-end industrial applications and low-end consumer products, with nothing in between.

Ha, that's right. This wave of agents won't repeat the old path of mobile phones; differentiation is the way to survive.

This logic is indeed fresh, but if robots really want to take the mass-market route, then maintenance and the supply chain would have to be extremely robust.

NGL, this perspective is pretty fresh, but I think the robotics part will definitely have to go through a burning money phase as well... No matter how things evolve, in the end, it's still all about the money.

That being said, the smartphone game has already been played out. If robots follow the same path, they'll probably flop soon too.

I agree, the smartphone model is long outdated. Robotics needs to pursue reverse iteration to break the deadlock.
Interesting perspective on the AI agent project.
Here's what I think.
