USDT has been struggling lately, with its premium continuing to decline. There are actually just two main reasons behind this.

First, let’s talk about the exchange rate. The trend of the RMB against the US dollar has been affecting capital flows in the market. When the exchange rate offered by CMB drops, USDT naturally comes under pressure as well. This is basic capital market logic.

Next, let’s look at market sentiment. At this stage, quite a few people have started to cash out. As the bull market enters its later stages, a large number of profit-takers are exiting, and the selling pressure on USDT has clearly increased. With a sharp rise in supply and weak demand, the price just can't hold up. This adjustment is actually quite normal.

I think this drop in USDT price is just a normal correction, don’t overthink it. The depreciation of the RMB does add some pressure, but the key factor is that big players are dumping like crazy in this cycle... There are just too many profits being taken. If there’s new capital coming in later, the USDT premium might come back again. So why panic now?

The RMB is up to its tricks again, and every time we have to suffer along with it. I already got in early this time to lock in my profits, just waiting to buy the dip now. A surge in supply and weak demand—basically, nobody wants it anymore. The drop in premium is actually pretty reasonable; it was only a matter of time. Is it time to start fleecing retail investors again? USDT really isn't stable anymore, better to switch to another pegged asset sooner rather than later.

Ha, this wave of USDT does feel a bit shaky. Watching the exchange rate and the game of human nature is pretty intense. --- To put it bluntly, everyone who should have run has already run, and the rest are just gambling. --- This trick is always the same in the late stage of a bull market, it's not the first time. --- The premium collapsing is really tough. Those who stocked up on stablecoins before are in an awkward spot now. --- Supply is exploding while there's no demand. Isn't that normal? It should have dropped long ago.

Here we go again. Whenever CMB drops, USDT takes a hit too. This logic is really something else. That’s just how it is in the latter half of a bull market—whales cash out, retail investors take over, and there’s no way USDT sell pressure can hold up. With premiums dropping this much, it all depends on how the RMB moves from here. To put it simply, those who wanted out are already out. Now it’s just a matter of who can hold on the longest. When the CMB price falls, USDT just has to accept its fate. That’s the real logic behind the flow of funds.

The ones leaving are all smart people, I'm still waiting... --- With both exchange rates and sentiment at play, in the end, you just have to act when it's time. --- Heavy selling pressure? Perfect, I'll go contrarian and buy the dip. --- Premium dropped, which means someone is dumping. That actually makes it an opportunity. --- The depreciation of the RMB has indeed made things awkward for USDT, but it also shows that liquidity in crypto is still reliable. --- Those who cashed out look like they've made money, but honestly, I'm feeling even more calm. --- Supply is surging and demand is weak? Then just wait for demand to explode. That's about as bad as it gets in the later stages of a bull market. --- This moment is really a test of mentality—let's see who can hold on without panic-selling.

The RMB is acting up again, no wonder USDT is dropping so much this time—I saw this coming a long time ago. --- Profit-takers running off... Why does it feel like it’s always the same playbook? Can this really be called "normal"? --- Wait, is it really dropping that hard over at CMB? How come I haven’t really noticed? --- Basically, it’s just a liquidity crunch—nothing new. --- It’s rational to cash out in the latter half of a bull market. The question is, can you still buy the dip on USDT at this price? --- Supply surging and demand weakening—that’s classic supply-demand imbalance. Looks like I’ll have to wait. --- Kind of suspicious there might be other factors not being mentioned... Feels like it’s not that simple. --- I really can’t hold on anymore, all my T is stuck.

The premium is gone, which means everyone who needed to sell has already sold. With both the depreciation of the RMB and profit-taking, it's normal that USDT can't hold up under this double blow.
