The New York Times: Eric Trump, the second son of Trump, stated that he may take legal action regarding the launch of the "official TRUMP Wallet".
On June 4, according to the New York Times, Donald Trump Jr., Trump’s eldest son and co-founder of WLFI, posted that the newly launched TRUMP wallet in the market has nothing to do with the Trump Organization, and WLFI will launch an official wallet. Trump’s second son, Eric Thomp, said he had “no knowledge” about the matter. And Trump’s youngest son, Byron Trump, also made a rare statement on social media, saying that “our family is completely not involved in this”. The reaction of Mr. Trump’s sons to the announcement appeared to expose a rift in the Trump family’s expanding network of cryptocurrency businesses, a complex business system run by multiple family members and associates who now appear to be competing with each other. On one side is Bill Zanker, Trump’s long-time business associate and the man behind the TRUMP Meme coin. On the other side are Trump’s sons, who founded World Liberty Financial, an independent cryptocurrency business, and launched their own digital currency, which has raised $550 million so far. Eric Trump said the Trump family will take legal action against the launch of the “official TRUMP wallet,” even though the wallet is being promoted by social media accounts linked to Bill Zanker. Eric Trump said, “There is no agreement for this product, there is no agreement for this product, and it is not approved.” Bill Zanker did not respond to a request for comment. But the TRUMP Meme official X (formerly Twitter) account posted a post late Tuesday confirming the authenticity of the wallet’s post. A similar statement appeared on Magic Eden’s official X account.
