Pakistan and India have reached an immediately effective ceasefire protocol.
On May 10, Pakistan and India reached an immediate ceasefire protocol. The Pakistani Foreign Minister stated that Pakistan is always committed to peace and security in the region, without compromising sovereignty and territorial integrity. This is not a partial ceasefire, but a comprehensive ceasefire protocol between the two countries. The military channels and hotlines of India and Pakistan have been activated. The Pakistan Airports Authority announced that Pakistan’s airspace has fully reopened for all flights. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs stated that the Indo-Pak ceasefire will begin at 5:00 PM Indian Standard Time on Saturday. The Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan made a phone call on Saturday afternoon; both sides agreed to cease all firing. The Chiefs of Army Staff of India and Pakistan will meet again on May 12. ( Jin10 )
