On May 7th, according to official news, the Kingdom of Bhutan has now partnered with CEX Pay and DK Bank to launch the world’s first national-level encryption tourism payment system. This innovative initiative allows travelers with a CEX account to use digital assets to pay for various aspects of their trip in Bhutan, including airfare, visa fees, hotel accommodations, attraction tickets, guide services, and even fresh fruits from street vendors. With the support of DK Bank and CEX Pay, over 100 local merchants have already connected to the system.
