🇺🇸 Trump Speaks on Market Reaction After Tariff Announcement
🗓️ April 4 (ET): During Thursday’s mid-day press conference, Trump responded to market volatility:
“I think it’s going very well. You’ve never seen anything like this. The market will boom. The stock market will boom. The country will boom. Other countries want to know if they can make a deal.”
Later in the day, Trump added the market reaction was “expected” and described the U.S. economy as being in a “transition period.”
🔧 He compared the economy inherited from Biden to a “patient” recovering from surgery.
