According to Bitcoin.com, Judge Glenn of the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York has approved Celsius’ innovative proposal to serve legal documents to anonymous defendants through a Non-fungible Token Airdrop. The scheme, designed by Celsius’ litigation administrators, will deliver the documents by Airdropping Non-fungible Tokens to relevant wallets, which will contain links to the legal files. FTI Consulting will be responsible for verifying the on-chain delivery and recording the opening time of the Non-fungible Tokens, while also monitoring website traffic to ensure genuine access. Judge Glenn believes this is the ‘best practicable manner’ and sets a precedent for the application of blockchain technology in the judicial field.
