To enhance market stability and prevent malicious manipulation, Gate is launching Temporary Price Lock mode on selected futures markets, effective immediately.
How It Works
In futures markets with the mode enabled, if the mark price deviates significantly from the moving average over the past few minutes:
- Mark price updates will be temporarily paused, remaining at the last quoted mark price.
- Normal updates will resume immediately once the mark price returns to its pre-deviation level.
- If the mark price does not return within a certain period, the platform will gradually restore normal updates using a smoothing process.
Display on Trading Page
A dedicated indicator shows whether Temporary Price Lock mode is enabled on the Trading pages.
