Does Pro-Crypto Trump Have Enough Support To Pass Crypto Laws?

According to the Stand With Crypto Organization, pro-crypto candidates gained strong support in Congress in US election 2024. In the House of Representatives, 261 elected members support cryptocurrency, while 116 oppose it. In the Senate, 17 Senators are pro-crypto, and 12 are against it.

With Donald Trump back in office, this support in Congress could help him push for crypto-friendly laws. The strong majority in the House of Representatives gives him a good base to start with. However, the Senate is more evenly divided, with only a small advantage for pro-crypto Senators.

Consequently, while Trump has some support to pass crypto laws, he may still face challenges. Above all, in order to succeed, he will need to convince some undecided lawmakers
