NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, in an interview with Dwarkesh Patel, opposed AI chip export control policies, saying they cannot block China’s AI capability and have had the opposite effect. Huang said China has crossed the critical point, with large-scale 7nm chip production capacity and low-cost energy; AI training is a parallel computing problem, and more older chips can make up for performance differences. He pointed out that China’s computing power has already exceeded the scale required to train the Anthropic Mythos model.
