Just came across some interesting data on John Hickenlooper's portfolio activity. The senator apparently made close to $700K from stock trades last month alone, which caught my attention.

Looking at his overall John Hickenlooper net worth situation, he's sitting at around $25.6M according to the latest financial tracking data, putting him in the top 50 wealthiest members of Congress. What's notable is that roughly $17.8M of that is in publicly traded stocks that get monitored regularly.

The trading history is pretty revealing. He dumped over a million in NVDA back in November 2021, right before that stock exploded 351% higher. There was also a $1M sale in FWONK in early 2023 that's up 35% since then. On the flip side, he bought $500K of QRTEA in May 2021 and that one absolutely tanked—down 97%. Sold half a million in MSFT in late 2021 that's since climbed 33%, and another $500K position in LSXMK that lost about 60% of its value.

On the fundraising side, he brought in $955K for Q1 2025, mostly from individual donors. His John Hickenlooper net worth profile also shows he had $2.2M cash on hand at the end of that reporting period. He's been pushing bills on retirement security, mental health support, and workplace cooperation too.

The data is all from public disclosures, so take it with the usual grain of salt—these are estimates based on filing reports and the actual numbers might vary. But it's an interesting window into how someone in his position manages their investments.
