I’m increasingly convinced that grid/DCA is not “conservative”—it’s insurance for your sleep; it feels great to watch a trade go one-way, but when you’re really stopped out in the middle of the night by a needle-like price move and the stop-loss gets pierced, the next day you’re all drooped… Put simply, the bigger drawdown you can withstand, the noisier style you can choose. Lately, L2s have been comparing TPS, fees, and subsidies every day, arguing like a vegetable market—yet when something happens on the other side of the bridge, no one is there to take over your position; and if the funds are delayed by even one minute, your heartbeat jumps a beat. I treat simplicity as a trap: those “click once and automatically make money” things often just hide the complex risks. In any case, I’d rather buy slowly in batches than depend on luck to sleep.
