NIO's chip business spin-off and restructuring, competing with Horizon J6M

NIO achieved its first quarterly profit through the spin-off of its chip business, planning to launch low-end chips in collaboration with Shenji, Aixin YuanZhi, and other partners, with performance comparable to Horizon J6M. Last year, NIO spun off its chip division into Shenji Technology and established a joint venture with Aixin YuanZhi; the M97 chip has already been taped out, with computing power exceeding 700 TOPS, attracting attention from automakers like Geely. NIO has earned hundreds of millions of yuan in licensing fees through technology licensing and is expanding into the low-end chip market, aiming to grow its market share. Meanwhile, automakers like XPeng are actively exploring opportunities in self-developed assisted driving chips to fill the gap in high-computing-power markets. (36Kr)
