Recently, the “Guangdong Provincial Engineering Research Center for Embodied Intelligent Robots,” applied for by the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Institute (abbreviated as “AIRS”), received approval from the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission for establishment. According to reports, this is the fourth provincial-level platform approved for AIRS in the field of embodied intelligence and robotics, marking that the institute has built a complete innovation matrix covering industry services, technological breakthroughs, pilot testing, and engineering applications. It provides systematic platform support for Guangdong to create a globally influential highland of intelligent robot industry. Specifically, the Guangdong Provincial Engineering Research Center for Embodied Intelligent Robots aims to promote the engineering application and large-scale promotion of embodied intelligent robots in fields such as electricity, transportation, and healthcare as its core goal. It focuses on the application verification and transformation of embodied intelligent base models, robot body systems, and multi-agent scheduling systems, while simultaneously developing interdisciplinary talents for industry engineering applications, supporting large-scale application of Guangdong’s embodied intelligent industry.
