Accelerating the construction of zero-carbon transportation corridors benefits the upstream and downstream industry chains

The construction of zero-carbon transportation corridors is becoming an important focus for “carbon reduction” in China’s transportation sector. Recently, the Ministry of Transport stated that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, it will be guided by peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality, promoting the development of zero-carbon transportation corridors and station construction; the National Development and Reform Commission also revealed that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China will plan to build over 10,000 kilometers of zero-carbon transportation corridors. It has been learned that regions such as Hubei, Hebei, Shanxi, and Chongqing are actively promoting pilot projects for zero-carbon transportation corridors, accelerating the formation of a new green logistics model, with charging, swapping, and hydrogen energy as the main technical pathways. Industry insiders believe that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, zero-carbon transportation corridors will gradually evolve from pilot projects to networked and scaled development. This will not only support local industries in reducing carbon and greening but also drive the coordinated development of upstream and downstream industries such as new energy heavy trucks, charging and swapping facilities, and hydrogen equipment.
