High production costs; silicon iron companies' daily average output will reach its lowest in nearly nine months

The main production area of lignite maintains high electricity prices, and manufacturers are constrained by high costs, resulting in overall low operating rates and limited effective market supply. Mysteel statistics show that the operating rate of 136 independent ferrosilicon companies nationwide is 26.55%, a decrease of 1.77% compared to last week; the daily average output is 13,780 tons, down 2.17% or 305 tons from last week, the lowest level in nearly nine months.
