ME News report. April 5 (UTC+8): Odaily Planet Daily. The U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command said that the MC-130J aircraft that played a role in the operation to rescue the downed U.S. military F-15E crew in Iran is worth more than 100 million dollars per aircraft. This aircraft is designed to deliver troops to hostile areas and carry out evacuations, has air-refueling capability, and is equipped with advanced sensors for defense against air-defense interceptions, including a heat-tracking system. A U.S. official said that during this rescue operation, U.S. forces destroyed two MC-130J aircraft. U.S. officials did not specify the reasons these aircraft ran into problems. A senior Iranian official released photos showing the wreckage from at least one aircraft that burned. Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf wrote on social media, saying: “If the U.S. achieves three more such ‘victories,’ it will be completely destroyed.” (Source: ODAILY)
