Northbound funds attract HKD 6 billion, major purchases of Tencent, buying of the Tracker Fund and Tech ETF

Northbound funds continue to flow into the market, totaling HKD 6.08 billion for the day, slightly less than Monday (2nd). Main purchases include Tencent (00700) and the Tracker Fund (02800), with net inflows of HKD 2.56 billion and HKD 2.34 billion respectively. The Southbound China Tech ETF (03033) also attracted HKD 1.41 billion. Net outflows include Alibaba (09988) and COSCO Shipping Energy (01138), with HKD 1.21 billion and HKD 0.38 billion respectively.

Hang Seng Index rebounds weakly, drops 291 points on Lantern Festival, falls below 26,000; MINIMAX reports 9% rise after good results; CNOOC and PetroChina up 5% and 3%; Zijin down 6%

Hong Kong stocks rebound weakly, falling nearly 300 points, losing the 26,000 mark. Market anticipates that under pressure from various sides, Trump will accelerate a ceasefire. Hang Seng Index opens up 130 points at 26,190, but then fluctuates downward, ending the day down 332 points at 25,727. The index fell 291 points, closing at 25,768, with a turnover of HKD 370.55 billion. Tech sector down 2.3%, closing at 4,876 points. MINIMAX (00100) rose 9% after earnings; China National Petroleum (00857) up 5%; CNOOC (00883) up over 3%; Zijin (02899) down 6%; Pop Mart (09992) down over 5%.
