Mizuho Securities: Middle East Conflict Drives Dollar Strength, Liquidity Demand Rises

Mars Finance reports that, according to Jintou, analysts say that due to the Middle East conflict potentially triggering demand for immediate liquidity, the US dollar strengthened against most currencies during the Asian trading session. Mizuho Securities’ Head of Macro Research, Vishnu Waratan, stated that the dollar may maintain a buying advantage due to the “cash is king” mentality, which could be further reinforced by the greater weakness of the euro and most other non-oil currencies.
