Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 2nd, reports that South Korea’s Minister of Strategy and Finance and Deputy Prime Minister, , announced a comprehensive reform of government agencies’ cryptocurrency management. This move comes in response to the Seoul Gangnam District Police losing 22 Bitcoins worth approximately $1.4 million due to not retaining private keys. The Ministry of Strategy and Finance, together with the Financial Services Commission and other relevant agencies, will review the management of digital assets held by government and public institutions through enforcement measures such as seizures, and will quickly implement measures to strengthen digital asset security. Currently, two suspects related to the police’s lost Bitcoin case have been arrested, and prosecutors are investigating possible bribery.
