Equinix signs 120MW solar PPA in Japan with Eneos Renewable

Equinix has signed a 15-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 121MW of solar power with Eneos Renewable Energy Corp in Japan, its second such deal in the country. This agreement, sourcing from the Sanda Mega Solar Power Plant, is the largest single-unit vPPA by a data center provider in Japan and will help Equinix meet its 100% renewable energy goal for its Japanese data centers. The company continues to expand its presence in Japan, including new hyperscale facilities in Osaka and Tokyo.
