Evergy has increased its five-year capital spending plan by 24% to $21.6 billion to meet surging electricity demand from data centers and industrial facilities like Panasonic’s EV battery plant. The utility recently signed service agreements totaling 1.9 GW with Google, Meta, and Beale Infrastructure, leading to a projected 6% annual retail sales growth through 2030.
