Suspected Insider Trading: Six Accounts Bet on US Actions Against Iran on Prediction Platform, Profiting $1 Million

According to analysis firm BubblemapsSA, six accounts on the prediction platform Polymarket made approximately $1 million in profit by betting that the US would take action against Iran before February 28. These accounts were all newly created in February and only placed bets on the potential US strike timing. Some of these shares were purchased just a few hours before reports of explosions in Tehran first emerged, with some shares bought at prices as low as a dime each. This betting pattern has raised suspicions of insider trading. Blockchain analysts pointed out that similar patterns have appeared in other cases of suspected insider trading in prediction markets, such as a previous incident where an insider made huge profits by betting on the ousting of Venezuelan President Maduro in January. $ETH
