Odaily Planet Daily reports that four informed sources revealed that President Trump launched a large-scale airstrike against Iran on Saturday, following weeks of lobbying by two unusual Middle Eastern allies—Israel and Saudi Arabia. The sources said that although Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman publicly supported a diplomatic solution to Iran, he privately urged Trump multiple times over the past month to carry out an airstrike. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu continued to publicly lobby the U.S. to strike Iran, viewing Iran as Israel’s “life-and-death enemy.” Under combined pressure from all sides, Trump ordered a large-scale attack on Iran’s leadership and military. Although U.S. intelligence assessments suggest that Iran’s military is unlikely to pose a direct threat to the U.S. mainland within the next decade, the attack still took place.
