President Trump announced "major combat operations."
Iranian retaliation: Iran's IRGC launched ballistic missiles at multiple US-linked sites in the Gulf.
Air defenses (UAE THAAD/Patriot systems, Qatar Patriot, etc.) intercepted most incoming missiles. Explosions/sirens/smoke were reported near bases and cities, but no confirmed direct impacts or major damage to US bases.
