On February 12, ByteDance officially released its latest video generation model Seedance 2.0, with its AI products Doubao and Jiemeng announced as integrated. Currently, users can experience the model through Doubao app, desktop, web version, Jiemeng app, and Jiemeng web version. Notably, after Seedance 2.0 gained popularity, Jiemeng platform operators announced that inputting real person images or videos as references is not supported for now. Many users also reported being unable to upload face images to generate videos. In response, ByteDance stated that Doubao app and Jiemeng app support real person appearances; users need to complete real person verification through recording audio and video before generating a digital avatar of themselves to create AI videos. In scenarios like Doubao desktop, web version, and Jiemeng web, the platform clearly indicates that uploading real face materials is not supported at this time. (The Beijing News)
