Calculation of Net Asset Value for Class C Fund Shares Under the New Public Offering Fee Regulations

The new regulations on public offering fees specify that funds held for more than one year are no longer subject to sales service fees. However, since different holders have different holding periods—longer-term holders are exempt, while shorter-term holders still pay—the net asset value (NAV) reflects these differences. As a result, the NAV for the same type of shares can vary, and even for the same person, the NAV at different purchase times can differ. If everyone shares the costs equally, those with longer holdings end up at a disadvantage.

So, I haven’t fully understood how this fee is collected and how the NAV is calculated. Looking forward to everyone’s insights.
