The National Oil and Natural Gas Infrastructure Key Project — the Su-Wan-Yu Main Line — will begin construction today. This is the first national key oil and gas pipeline project to start during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, marking a new phase in the development of a nationwide natural gas network.
Along with the Su-Wan-Yu Main Line, two other major national oil and natural gas infrastructure projects—the Wen 23-Angqing Natural Gas Pipeline and the Shandong Pipeline Network North Main Line—also officially broke ground today in Anhui and Shandong respectively. The three projects have a total investment of over 30 billion yuan and will significantly enhance the pipeline density and interconnectivity in central and eastern China once completed.
