In terms of news, according to market media reports, recently, Macau Tourism Industry Council Chairman Ho Iat Seng predicted that during the nine-day Lunar New Year holiday, Macau’s average daily visitor count would be about 160,000 to 170,000. Ho Iat Seng also noted that currently, hotel occupancy rates in Macau have exceeded 90%, and travelers can still book rooms for about HKD 1,000 to HKD 2,000 per night. As for international star-rated hotels in Cotai, prices are even higher, ranging from HKD 3,000 to HKD 4,000.
Galaxy Entertainment responded to inquiries, stating that overall demand at its resorts during the holiday is strong, with hotel room bookings nearly full, and restaurant reservations also very high. Benefiting from the long holiday and the increase in visitors to Macau, it is expected that hotel prices and overall customer spending will grow steadily compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, the number of travelers during the holiday is expected to remain robust. The group is optimistic that the Lunar New Year holiday and rising visitor numbers will strongly support steady growth in gaming revenue and is confident that this will positively contribute to overall business performance.
