The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the expulsion of a German diplomat.

On February 5th, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that they summoned the head of the German diplomatic mission in Russia. In response to Germany’s earlier expulsion of the deputy military attaché from the Russian Embassy in Germany, Russia expelled a staff member from the German Embassy in Russia. The announcement stated that regarding Germany designating a Russian embassy staff member in Germany as persona non grata, Russia has lodged a strong protest with the head of the German diplomatic mission in Russia and firmly denied any allegations of intelligence activities against the Russian diplomat. Currently, Germany has not responded. (CCTV News)
