Are Meme Coins Still Promising?

I've been in the industry for less than five years, and my observation is: the operation of the crypto market seems to revolve around a core driver—trading enthusiasm. Meme coins, as a product of this wave, whether they can continue to exist depends on how long the enthusiasm can burn. Will there be new concepts to meet this demand? Absolutely. Each cycle repeats: old narratives fade, new concepts take over.

But frankly, my feeling about this market has always been—it runs on a gear of speculation. From Bitcoin to various tokens, the appeal has never been about breakthroughs in practical applications, but about the eternal promise: the possibility of the next hundredfold, thousandfold increase. That’s the truth behind the fame of crypto assets.

If we strip away this layer of speculative expectation, I find it hard to see the necessity of blockchain technology in real-world applications. Unless a truly large-scale use case emerges, its usefulness in many people's eyes is indeed limited. And that scenario has not appeared yet.

Basically, it's a game of pass the flower, and who gets the flower depends entirely on luck. When the hype dies down, meme coins die out. New concepts come to cut a round, cycle repeats. Hey, this move is just like the manipulator's logic of cutting leeks. Does it have any real application? The dream of 100x is still there, but where are the application scenarios? Waiting until the flowers wither. It's just a speculative game; no one dares to say they bought because of technology. New coins are no different from old coins; it all depends on who can tell the better story. Honestly, this circle survives by telling stories. Without stories, everything is over.

Basically, it's a game of hot potato; whoever is the last to take over the pot is doomed. Once the hype fades, it's just a bunch of zeros, and new concepts can't save it. The hundredfold dream is just a facade; the real money is always made by the whales. It does have limited usefulness, but that doesn't stop us from taking a gamble. Speculation is just speculation, don't pretend to have some technical faith. Wait, what about early Bitcoin holders? They also called it right. So the issue is timing, not the meme coin itself. If it can't last long, why should I even touch it? Once the hype dies down, it immediately drops to zero, so true. New concepts taking over? Maybe the next ones are AI coins, blockchain game coins, and the like.

To be honest, these words sound fine but lack novelty and are just old clichés. Once the hype dies down, it's over. This is always the case before the next hot trend emerges. But if you truly believe there are no application scenarios, then you're being too naive. Maybe we just can't see them yet. Anyway, my stance is—projects that are hard to kill are worth supporting; those that are dead should be cut early without hesitation. Instead of worrying about what the future holds, it's better to ask yourself how long you can keep going.

To be honest, once the hype fades, it's over. Meme coins are just a game of hot potato. The moment the hundredfold dream shatters, who still cares whether it has a future or not? Speculation-driven things are essentially a relay race, and the last runner is always the worst off. Talking about a future before real use cases have even appeared? Wake up, everyone. It's just gambling on the next person to take over, nothing mysterious about it.

Once the hype dies down, the coin is finished, it's that simple. That's right, everyone is just betting on the next sucker to take over. A hundredfold, a thousandfold dream, but it wakes up quickly every time. Playing the speculative game is fun, but don't risk yourself. The new concept takeover is just a different disguise to continue cutting leeks. Unless there are real application scenarios, meme coins are just a game of hot potato. Come on, the most valuable thing in crypto is the anticipation itself. This hits the nail on the head; anyway, just waiting for the next big trend.
